The Sydney International Dragon Festival will be held at the Sydney International Regatta Centre (SIRC) in Penrith. This was the rowing venue for the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games.

The facilities available at this venue make it one of the best Dragon Boating sites in the world. It is a fresh water lake specifically designed for rowing international standard races. It provides fair racing and accurate timing with photo-finish capabilities. Dragon Festival will have full use of the electronic scoreboard providing crews and spectators with up to date information on races and results.

The lanes and finish line are clearly marked and the site is long enough to allow for 200m, 500m and 1000m races. Starting blocks will be used to ensure race starts are fair and quick to line up.

The Penrith rowing site is approximately 40 mins drive west of the Sydney CBD. On race days there will be markets and food stalls set up at the site to add to the Festival atmosphere of the event.
